When you smile, you want everyone to see two rows of beautiful, white, shining teeth. Coffee, soda, tea, smoking, food residue and even some medicines can stain teeth and make them yellow. These stains can be difficult to remove even with expensive toothpaste and whitening products only bleach the less-ingrained stains. As going to the dentist frequently is expensive, use natural home remedies that cost very little and take only a few minutes to become effective.
Mash up a strawberry and smear it against your teeth. Let the juice remain for one minute. Clean your teeth with toothpaste to remove sugars and acids. Strawberries contain malic acid, a natural whitener, and fiber that helps remove bacteria from the teeth and mouth, according to Dr. Steven Roth, dentistry expert.
Sprinkle baking soda on top of your toothpaste, using a small amount so the paste doesn't become too gritty. The baking soda will remove plaque and make your teeth appear shiny. You can also brush with straight baking soda up to twice a month.
Rinse your mouth with a mixture of half lemon and half water. Use this method no more than twice a week due to high levels of acid that can damage teeth.
Apply hardwood ash to your teeth using a toothbrush. Combine it with toothpaste if desired. Gently brush the stains off your teeth.
