Irritants

Vaginitis

Vaginitis or vulvovaginitis is another cause of itching. The parasite causing the infection is disrupted during vaginitis. Itching is the most obvious symptoms of Vaginitis, along with irritation, redness in the vulvar area, uncommon discharge and odor.

Menopause

Women during the menopausal stage mostly experience vaginal itching. This is caused by the reduced amount of estrogen level, leading to dryness in the vagina. Dryness associates irritation.

Stress

You might find it impossible but stress can actually cause itching and irritation in the vagina. Though these cases are not common but they actually happen. Doctors connect stress to vaginal itching because your immune system weakens when you’re too stress.
