How to Treat Dark Underarms and Armpits at Home

People, especially those who have lighter skin tones, sometimes have problems with dark underarms or armpits. Of course, it's not a problem during the winter days when everyone's wearing long sleeves, but during summer days when you want to wear a sleeveless shirt, dress, or a swimsuit, it can cause a little bit of embarrassment and take away your confidence. This article will help you to get rid of the dark underarm spots with ease at home.

Lime and lemon are natural bleach so try the followings:

  • Take a lemon or lime wedge and rub it in your armpits for about 5 minutes.
  • Make a paste using tumeric powder, 1 tsp of lime juice, and 1 tsp of cucumber juice. After applying for 20 minutes, rinse with clean water.

After shower, instead of using deodorant, use alum powder or baking soda. Sometimes, your underarm skin becomes dark because of the fragrance and chemicals in your deodorant.

Another remedy is to mix tumeric powder, 1 tbsp of curd, 1 tsp of flour, and 1 tsp of milk. Make it like a dough and apply it to your armpits.

Sometimes, shaving your armpits cause irritation so waxing is better than shaving. Also, when you wax, you will get rid of the dead skin buildups.
